What the numbers mean

Behind each of these figures is a family that now has an option it didn't have before.

A bank account to save into, a line of credit that doesn't depend on an informal lender, or equipment that means less of the harvest is lost before it reaches a buyer. $39,000 earned may sound modest at a national scale, but distributed across 1400+ families, it represents real, direct income that stayed with the people who grew it.

None of this happens without the institutions willing to partner with us on the ground — the banks that opened accounts, the government bodies that back the credit programs, and the Food Corporation of India, which gives our logistics work somewhere real to plug into.

Where we work

Currently active in rural farming communities across India

Our work today is concentrated in India, built on direct relationships with the Food Corporation of India, government agencies, and four national banks. As those partnerships mature, we're building toward a fuller picture of exactly which regions and how many communities we're active in.

In their words

What farmers say

Portrait of a farmer standing on a bridge in a hill district

Repairing the old irrigation channel used to take half the season. With the equipment Eclipsion helped us access, my orchard survived a dry year that would have wiped out three seasons of work before.

Orchard farmer, Himachal Pradesh

How we helped: Equipment upgrade

Portrait of a farmer picking vegetables from a vine

I had been growing on a quarter of my land because that's all I could afford to plant. The loan let me use all of it this season — and I paid it back before the next one even started.

How we helped: Microloan

Portrait of a farmer kneeling in a watermelon field

Thirty years farming this land, and I never once had an account in my own name. Now I do — and the credit card that came with it meant I didn't have to borrow from the trader who buys my watermelons.

How we measure impact

What's behind the numbers on this page

Every figure here is tied to a specific, verifiable event, not an estimate of downstream effect. We count bank accounts by confirmed account openings with our four partner banks, credit card enrollments by confirmed registrations in the government scheme, and workshop attendance by session. The $39,000+ figure reflects income specifically attributable to loans made through our microfinance program, repaid or in active repayment.

We don't currently publish a full third-party audited impact report — as the organization grows, formalizing that process is a priority.

External assessments

Don't just take our word for it

As Eclipsion grows, we intend to commission external studies to assess the social impact of our programs — so the numbers on this page are checked, not just self-reported.
